The Fifty Miracle Principles of A Course in Miracles
by Kenneth Wapnick

Principle 43

Miracles arise from a miraculous state of mind, or a state of miracle-readiness.

Later on, this is called "right-mindedness" (e.g., text, p. 21; T-2.V.3:1). In other words, we first shift our mind from the ego, the wrong mind, to the Holy Spirit's way of thinking, which is the right mind. That is what the miracle is. We give up the investment in the ego's way of looking -- attack, separation, etc. -- and choose instead the Holy Spirit's -- forgiveness and joining, seeing all things as opportunities to learn that we are forgiven.
