The Fifty Miracle Principles of A Course in Miracles

Principle 44

The miracle is an expression of an inner awareness of Christ and the acceptance of His Atonement.

We can say that the miracle joins you with someone from whom you have separated. This reflects back to us the idea that we are all one in Christ, and this corrects the error of believing we were separated. Accepting Christ's Atonement is accepting this principle of being one with Him. Here again, we see the idea that the miracle is the expression of Christ, not the awareness itself. This is similar to what we talked about earlier -- that the miracle is a reflection of the truth, not the truth itself. It still exists and has meaning only within the world of illusion.
